Ruby opens second property in Munich – Business Traveller

Written by pgex7

Ruby Hotels has opened its second property in Munich. Ruby Rosi has a design inspired by an iconic Munich figure singer Bally Prell and ‘the beauty queen of Schneizlreuth’ in the Isar fairytale.

Located in the immediate vicinity of Munich’s train station district, Ruby Rosi can be reached by S-Bahn in 40 minutes direct from Munich Airport, and is within walking distance of the Old Town, Frauenkirche, the Marienplatz, the Viktualienmarkt and Oktoberfest.

The 101 rooms are spread over three floors of a former 1950s office building with a total area of 4,100 square metres. The 24/7 bar is located on the fourth floor, with hand-picked vintage furnishings and wooden timbering in mediaeval style creating a ‘Bavarian fairytale world’.

Another highlight is the new 260-square-foot roof terrace on the fifth floor, which offers a green oasis in the middle of the station district. The bar and roof terrace are open to all Munich residents, and events and readings with local artists are held regularly.

The second Munich hotel follows Ruby’s Lean Luxury philosophy, focusing on convenience by removing superfluous non-essentials. In Rosi’s rooms, the trademark elements are the open vanity and glass rain shower; fresh white and cherry wood wall paneling; and the addition of a canopy above the bed.

There are five room categories:

  • NEST Room with approx. 12sqm
  • COSY Rooms with approx. 15sqm
  • LOVELY Rooms, with approx. 18sqm
  • WOW Rooms with up to 26sqm
  • LOFT Rooms with up to 30sqm
