Low-cost carrier Breeze has named Michael Wuerger as its new COO, the company announced Tuesday. Wuerger will replace co-founder and COO Tom Anderson, who is retiring. He will report to Breeze’s new president, Tom Doxey.
Wuerger has more than 30 years of aviation industry experience and most recently served as VP of operations control center and FAA director of operations for Allegiant Air, which he joined in 2013, according to Breeze. He previously worked at Mesa Airlines and was a flight instructor for Lufthansa Flight Training.
The company did not immediately respond to a request to clarify when the transition would occur.
